Mission Ranch 4-D Race – May 13th – May 15th

Pre-entries close May 2nd

Enter the day of the race ($10 per horse late fee)

Stalls - $30 per night - limited availability (need to be purchased by April 1st)

RV Hookups - $30 per night

Shavings- $8 per bag (no outside shavings)

Books close after 1st horse runs

Exhibitions - 60 second time limit ($25 fine)

Dress code required unless wearing a 2022 event t-shirt (cowboy hat optional with event t-shirt) 

 

Friday, May 13th:  

2 pm- Move-in

2 pm- Show Office Opens

·      Warm Up Sessions 3:30 pm- 5:30 pm: $20 per horse (25 minutes, limited to 10 horses per session) barrels are set off the stakes (3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30)

·      Timed Exhibitions 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm: $5 each   

·      Warm Up Sessions for Saturday morning go on sale (9 am, 9:30, 10, 10:30)

Saturday, May 14th:  Mission Ranch Race- 2 pm

9 am- Show Office Opens

·      Warm Up Sessions 9 am- 10:30 am: $20 per horse (25 minutes, limited to 10 horses per session) barrels are set up off the stakes (9 am, 9:30, 10, 10:30)

·      Timed Exhibitions 11:00 am- 1:30 pm $5 each. Limited to 3 exhibitions per horse.  Enter yourself and one other person.

Sunday, May 15th: Mission Ranch Race- 12 pm

9 am- Show Office Opens

4 pm- All 4-D horses must be removed from tent stalls

5 Star Equine Products Super Derby – May 16th- May 21st

May 16th- May 21st- Stalls $135 (for the week) & RV Hookup $180 (for the week)

Show Office opens at 9 am Monday – Friday  (Saturday opens at 11 am)

Shavings- $8 per bag

Each Futurity and Derby entry includes one exhibition on Tuesday and Wednesday

Fines for exhibitions exceeding 60 seconds must be paid prior to competition

Dress code required for trials unless you wear a 2022 event t-shirt (cowboy hat optional with event t-shirt) 

Full dress code is required for finals.

 

 

Monday, May 16th:

9 am- Official Futurity and Derby move-in (earlier arrival is permitted- additional stall and RV fees apply)

9 am- Warm up Sessions & Optional Exhibitions go on sale (enter yourself and one other person –limit 3 exhibitions per horse).  

10 am -2 pm – Warm Up Sessions – ($20 per horse) 25 minutes, limited to 10 horses per session, barrels are set off the stakes (10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, 12, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30)

2 pm – 6 pm Optional Timed Exhibitions ($5.00 each)  (horses do not have to be numbered or entered for this session) ($25 penalty for exceeding 60 second limit)

 

Tuesday, May 17th:

9 am – 1 pm– Open Arena

10 am – 12 -Contestant check in at Show Office.  Original horse papers must be available for visible inspection.  Any scratches or rider changes will require updating at this time.   Horses must be checked-in and the appropriate horse number must be visible for exhibition and competition.   

 

2 pm - Exhibitions start with Futurity horse, draw #1-? - Derby horse, draw #1-?  The correct horse number must be visible to exhibition.  This session’s exhibitions are included as part of your entry.  There is a $100 charge for exceeding 60 second time limit.

 

Wednesday, May 18th:

10 am- Exhibitions begin in reverse order with Derby #?-1 - Futurity ?- #1.  The correct horse number must be visible to exhibition.  This session’s exhibitions are included as part of your entry.  There is a $100 charge for exceeding 60 second time limit.

 

3 pm – Optional Timed Exhibitions $5 go on sale for those wanting one more chance to get in the pen. Exhibitions will begin at 7pm.  (Enter yourself and one other person –limit 3 exhibitions per horse) (horses do not have to be numbered) ($25 fee for exhibitions exceeding 60 seconds)

 

Thursday, May 19th: Futurity Time Trials – 10 am

10 am- Consolation entries accepted up to 30 minutes after Futurity Trials

 

Friday, May 20th: Super Derby Time Trials – 10 am  Consolation Race 8 pm

10 am- Consolation entries accepted up to 30 minutes after Derby Trials

5 fastest Futurity & 5 Fastest Derby horses advance to Finals (same rider in the Trials & Consolation race required to advance to finals)

Saturday, May 21st:  Super Derby Finals 1pm/ Futurity Finals 2:30

11 am- Show Office Opens

8 am – 11 am –Open arena for Futurity and Derby Finalists
